How much do you think...?

Question: It would be to have a Seamstress sew sequins on the bottom of your tulle wedding gown? Man, I was going to do it myself--OMFG--no way...:( I even tried fabric glue and ALMOST* ruined my dress...I'm totally bumming! :(( I got it from David's & they won't "aler the style of the dress in anyway"--but they'll add sleeves...come on!! http://www.davidsbridal.com/bridal_gowns_detail.jsp?stid=2789&prodgroup=159 Do you think the dress is pretty enough on the bottom??? Do you think the dress is pretty enough on the bottom???

Answer: Do you mean a line of sequins? Because those sometimes come in strings and are much easier to work with on tulle.. If you mean sequins here and there, you could probably get it done for cheap, provided you don't want them all the way around the base. A woman I used to work with charged $50 per "decoration" for the dress. So if you wanted lots of lace and sequins sewed on, it was $100 etc You might do better to put an ad in the paper for people with lots of experience in sewing. My aunt did that for her dress, and she really lucked out by finding a team of two sisters who had been making all their own clothes for years and did some side work. Of course, it could go really really badly if the person ruins your dress.. >< I'd have whoever does it sign a contract just in case the dress gets messed up.. Good luck ! Edit : Wow thats a gorgeous dress. I really don't think it needs sequins to be honest.. but if you like them then hey !
